SENIOR SCHOOL

Senior Schooling News

Gudamulli to our students, families, and community!

Year 12

We’ve reached the halfway point of Term 3, and our Year 12 students are working hard to complete their final internal assessments across both General and Applied subjects. Most students will be finishing their classes by the end of Week 7. Please note: students who have outstanding work will be required to remain at school until they receive an official clearance letter from the Senior Schooling team indicating they are eligible to finish.

General subject students will begin mock examinations after Week 7 in preparation for their External Assessments.

Recently, our ATAR students took part in a virtual presentation delivered by QTAC (Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre). This included two informative sessions: "How to Apply to QTAC" and "Understanding ATAR". These presentations provided valuable insights into the tertiary application process.

To further support students, one-on-one and small group sessions have been held with our Senior Schooling Guidance Officer, Mr. McKenzie, who is available to assist with university applications and information about bridging courses if required.

For more details on ATAR and QTAC, visit:

QATSIF Graduation at CQU

Congratulations to our QATSIF graduates on receiving their QATSIF graduate certificates at Central Queensland University! Our students experienced a beautiful ceremony with dance, artwork and guest speakers. We wish our QATSIF graduates all the best for their future pathways.

 Year 11

Our Year 11 students recently attended their school camp at Seaforth Pines Outdoor Education Centre. A big thank you to Miss Bygrave for organising and facilitating this wonderful experience, and to Mr. Hodgens, Mr. Hodgetts, Aunty Jodie, and Mrs Vesey for their supervision and support. Students provided excellent feedback and thoroughly enjoyed the leadership and team-building activities.

Year 11 Senior Jersey Orders

Our current Year 11 students will be able to order their jerseys later in the term.

Once your student is eligible, they will be granted access to the online shop where payment will be made with the preferred supplier – Struddys.

Details will be sent out about access to the shop once finalised.

Students will have strictly two weeks to order.

Again, all school fees must be up to date, otherwise this order will not be accepted.

Sample sizes are now available for fitting at Senior Schooling once ordering is opened.

Names on the back of jerseys must be appropriate and will be reviewed by school staff prior to printing.

Please contact our Senior Schooling Team on (07) 4924 7888 if you have any queries regarding the senior polo and/or jersey.

Pathways Mentor

Looking ahead, all Year 11 students will be assigned a Pathways Mentor Teacher at the end of this term. These mentors will help guide students through their senior schooling journey, supporting them with achieving their QCE (Queensland Certificate of Education), ATAR, and exploring career and employment options. Mentors will meet with students at least three times from the end of Year 11 through to the conclusion of Year 12.

Learn more about QCE and ATAR here: https://www.qtac.edu.au/
